10 start-ups you will meet thanks to Open Office
Everybody at the Pier 38 in San Francisco knows that the Opinno guys are a great bunch to mingle with. We are nice, friendly and super cool… Ok, I realize this sole argument may not be convincing enough to make you sign up for our Open Office program. But what if I told you a bit more about some of the startups sharing the Pier with us? Read on because they are going to catch your attention for sure!
- Miso – A website that helps users share the TV shows they’re watching. A place full of reviews and recommendations. Behind Miso, there’s Baazar Labs, a company which has just gained new funding from Google Ventures. (Congratulations!)
- Atracted – Dating website with video profiles, that uses cutting-edge technology to help people find their soul mate.
- Hollr – For those people who want to tell everybody about some great product, this is the place to share their shout outs.
- Founder Dating — Yes, another dating site, but this one is a matchmaker for entrepreneurs looking for their perfect partner in crime, erm… I mean, business. Founder Dating lends a hand to those people wanting to start a company but not adventurous enough to do it solo.
- Soundtrckr – These guys are making their users discover over 7 million songs every day, share them with other friends in real time and let them chat about music, all at the same time.
- Supersecret – Online games for teens where they can play, learn, and socialize in a safe, private, and fun environment.
- Fanpop – A network of user-generated fan clubs for different topics of interest created and maintained by the community of fans.
- Learnboost – An education platform for secondary schools, with tools for teachers and students.
- Taskrabbit – They help individuals and small businesses in a community outsource their tasks and deliveries, leveraging the latest technology and the social networking paradigm.
- Socialmedia – They create a valuable type of advertising, using social advertising technologies that enables publishers to create and sell social ads.
