Cleantech Open Spain
CLEANTECH OPEN is the largest clean energy accelerator in the world. Its mission is to identify, encourage and support entrepreneurs and startups with great ideas to overcome current challenges from international energy, environmental and economic concerns.
Since 2006, Cleantech Open has held a worldwide competition in California where more than 580 companies from 50 countries on five continents have participated. This, in turn, has helped to realize their ideas through training and a global network of other entrepreneurs and the resources they need.
The aim is to provide opportunities and resources to the most promising companies so they can present their ideas and projects in an international context. Cleantech Open provides an excellent opportunity to enter and can contact some of the investors, entrepreneurs and key customers of clean technologies sector.
To further strengthen the global network, we have created various regional competitions, among which is Cleantech Open Spain. Following the success of previous events, Cleantech Open Spain returns with the third year of the Global Competition of Ideas for startups and ideas most promising clean technologies.
The six categories defined as Cleantech Open application are:
1) Air, water and waste
2) Energy efficiency
3) Renewable energy
4) Energy storage and supply
5) Green Transport
6) Sustainable Construction.
The winner of the Spanish competition will have the opportunity to travel to San Francisco and compete against winners from all participating countries in the global finale. In addition, the winner will present his or her idea to over 2,500 investors, entrepreneurs, corporations, academics and media and press, etc… plus win a prize package valued at $ 100,000.
