Pedro began his career as an advanced reactors researcher at the Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois, but later spent a number of years in the Division of Strategy and Corporate Finance at Accenture. He has also worked as a nuclear engineer for the French Nuclear Commission, served as the deputy director of FEDIT (the largest network of private applied research and development centers in Spain, employing over 7,000 researchers) and worked for a number of cleantech startups, including Allwatt and Prosolar.
Using his experience working in the United States, Spain, France, Russia, Colombia, and the Netherlands, Pedro brings an international perspective to his management of Opinno.
Tomás Baylac, CFO and VP of Opinno Ventures 

Tomás joined Opinno because of the opportunity it provided to fulfill the needs of real entrepreneurs worldwide. Originally trained as an industrial engineer at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA), Tomás later received his International MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid, where he graduated with honors. While at IE, he formed part of the team that won the annual business plan competition with his microfinance company Prospéritas Microfinanzas (based in Colombia), an experience that spurred his passion for entrepreneurship.
Tomás has also used his skills as a finance and cost specialist in the Department of Product Development at OMINT S.A., a private Argentine company, where he was in charge of product-mix, budget billing, and sales and budgetary control. Tomás also has a passion for teaching, and worked part-time for over five years as an assistant professor and Chair of Investment Projects at the ITBA where, in addition to lecturing, he was a project supervisor and analyst.
Shaherose Charania, VP of Opinno Social and Director of Opinno San Francisco 
Shaherose has a passion for connecting people through technology and enabling them by providing access to resources. Motivated by the idea that when people are connected and enabled they too can contribute to the world in a positive way, Shaherose has spent much of her career working for mobile companies with a large social impact, including JAJAH (acquired by Telefonica) and Ribbit (acquired by British Telecom). While at JAJAH and Ribbit, Shaherose served as the Marketing Director, leveraging Social Media and Global Marketing, and the Director of Product Management, designing user friendly telephony products.
Over her career in the United States, Canada, Spain and India, Shaherose has also worked at firms such as TiE Global (overseeing 40+ entrepreneurship centers) and helped launch Talenthouse (where she was the Director of Product Management), in addition to receiving her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business.
In parallel, Shaherose is the co-founder and CEO of Women 2.0, an organization for woman-led startups in Silicon Valley. She has led its growth to include tens of thousands of participants, hosting monthly educational and networking workshops engaging entrepreneurs and investors from top Venture Capital firms and Angel circles. She has seen over 300 early stage startups through Women 2.0 and is experienced in building solutions to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Bruno Ott, VP of Opinno Incubation and Managing Director of Opinno in Spain 

Bruno is a mechanical engineer from ICAI and received his MBA from the Instituto de Empresa. Previously Bruno was the General Director of Real Estate Group with a presence in Spain, Portugal, the United States and England. Bruno’s duties included holding positions on the councils of the companies that comprised the real estate group and supervising all areas of group purchasing, sales, administration, finance and legal issues.
Bruno has extensive experience in managing national and international projects. While at Real Estate Group, he assembled a sales network with offices in London, Amsterdam, Dublin, Madrid and Murcia selling over 1,500 units in two years. Bruno has also been an advisor for Hoteles H10, Prasa, and Sanostra y Globalia, among others. Since 2005, he has also been the owner of multiple hairdressing and beauty salons of the Marco Aldany franchise.
In recent years, he has obtained bank financing for international projects such as the purchase of a 5 star hotel in the Dominican Republic, a building in SoHo in New York and solar arrays in Portugal. During his earlier career as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Accenture, he was involved in multiple strategic plans, marketing plans and sales and reorganizations for companies like Coca Cola, IZAR, PSA, BMW and Globalia. In the latter he served as Head of Staff of the Presidency for a year, reporting directly to the Hidalgo family.
María Fraile, Director of Opinno Boston 

María is currently an MBA candidate at MIT Sloan School of Management with a concentration in entrepreneurship and innovation. María is the Director of New Initiatives for the Venture Capital & Private Equity Club at Sloan, where she organizes lectures and discussions with successful entrepreneurs and partners of venture capital funds who provide a critical view of the industry. In addition, María is a member of the marketing team for the MIT $100K business plan competition. Thanks to her work in the promotion and dissemination of the competition, she helped increase the number of team with innovative ideas that enriched the competition.
María has extensive experience in customer relationship management and service for sophisticated investors. María has developed an extensive career in international investment banks such as Morgan Stanley and UBS. She worked for 6 years as an investment adviser to private clients in Spain, identifying customer needs and developing investment portfolios suited to their financial goals. She has also worked as a business consultant in Brussels.
