Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR)
San Francisco, Cleantech and IT
Opinno works with growth stage ventures to launch in new international markets. We work closely with Research and Development Centers, Universities, founders of growth stage ventures, and technology companies to help them accelerate the growth of their spin-offs. To support the global expansion of a venture, we apply the methodology of co-entrepreneurship - providing a local entrepreneur, an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR), to lead the new local office or lead a round of funding.
EIRs are experienced professionals in a particular sector with strong C- level experience. They work closely with local Opinno teams to learn the details of a particular project and then become the leaders of that project as a stand alone spin-off. EIRs are usually engaged to lead the companies to a new market launch or in a venture capital round and often become CEOs of that particular venture.
Profile requirements: The candidate must have a strong entrepreneurial background, having launched two or more ventures in the same field in the past. Experience raising early stage (pre-series A or series A) venture capital rounds is desired. A strong network in the field will be valued.
Event Producer and Planner
San Francisco
Opinno organizes an array of conferences, startup-competitions, and international trips for new ventures throughout the year. An ideal candidate would be one with strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to think on their feet and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
The most important feature is that they have had a strong network of iconic tech entrepreneurs and investors they can contact as speakers. This must be an authentic, respected network with most contacts based out of the SF/Bay Area. This person must also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all types of people in order to provide great customer service. This is a leadership position, and we are seeking someone with the passion to contribute to Opinno's mission while doing high quality work.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Securing high profile speaking opportunities for iconic technology founders, CxOs and Venture Capitalists
- Serving as a liaison with vendors, organizing committees, related clients and other event-related services
- Establishing and monitoring budgets for events and keeping track of event finances
- Conducting research and finding resources to help the Opinno team make decisions about event possibilities
- Proposing new ideas to improve the event planning implementation processes
- Finding and coordinating event speakers
- Arranging meals, travel, hotel accommodations, venues, and activities, and preparing informational handouts for event attendees

Sales and Marketing Manager
San Francisco
Our Sales and Marketing position is suited for young professionals with broad expertise in sales management, business development, start up environments and strategic market positioning.
A person with initiative and leadership who shares our vision and values on entrepreneurship and who also has an excellent reputation and track record.
You would be responsible for building and executing on the marketing strategy and execute on sales. You will be independent and motivated with an outstanding ability to absorb new concepts and communicate these effectively to potential partners and investors.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement Opinno´s business strategy
- Identify and recruit new channel partners
- Work closely with Partners to help develop and execute pursuit plans for significant strategic targets
- Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills
- Drive attendance for webinars, programs and events hosted by Opinno
