Opinno Biotech Week
The biotech industry is growing the world over. As such, Opinno collaborates with Spanish businesses by opening their doors to the larger worldwide sector.
With this objective in mind, Opinno collaborated with a trade mission at the BIO International Convention in Washington, D.C. in June 2011. This was done through the Spanish Association of Bio-Businesses (ASEBIO), Genoma Spain and ICEX– through which many businesses participate.
Opinno Biotech Week is a fantastic opportunity for Spanish biotech companies to meet with potential clients, partners and investors and also discover the latest worldwide biotechnology industry technologies. It also allows these businesses to promote themselves in the United States in order increase their exposure to international markets.
The BIO International Convention is the largest biotechnology gathering in the world. The convention attracts the best experts in the field, offers a large network of contacts and opportunities to establish commercial alliances. In addition, it provides an outlet for discovering which trends will define the future. In 2011, BIO hosted more than 1200 biotech companies, academic institutions, biotechnology centers and other organizations with a presence in the US and 30 other countries.
Opinno organized a workshop in Madrid prior to the trade mission in order to present a general overview of the biotechnology industry in the US and give an idea of the investment trends in the sector. In addition, the participants attended a course which aimed to perfect their project proposals for future presentation before potential partners, clients or investors. Opinno also hosted a networking event.
Opinno is busily preparing its 2012 Biotech Week.
