The need for new strategies to effectively diagnose and treat patients, without constant face-to-face consultations, is exactly what is spawning the rise and use of digital tools, such as video and specialized apps. But, while this new way in which both doctors and patients relate to one another may work for some illnesses, others like skin diseases, still require frequent monitoring and follow up visits.
